NovaStar Data / Service Parameter Reference / Overview

NovaStar data web services use common parameters where possible. This reference describes service parameter format and behavior. The following table lists common service parameters, with links to detailed information.

Service Parameter	Description
count	Count of records returned.
dataInterval	Data interval for time series.
dataType	Data type for time series.
format	Output format for the response.
formatPrettyPrint	Whether to "pretty print" JSON output in human-readable format.
group	NovaStar user group data filters.
jsonFormat	Format for JSON output, related to adding top-level names for output.
locId	Location identifier for time series.
period	Parameters related to time series period and other time periods.
pointNumId	Point unique numerical identifier.
pointTagName	Point unique text identifier.
sort	Field(s) by which to sort output.
stationNumId	Station unique numerical identifier.
statistic	Statistic type.
timezone	Time zone to use for calculations and output.
xmlFormat	Format for XML output, related to adding top-level names for output.
